damn cool! great dynamics! want to see more of that!
- maybe you could put the burning eye into that palantir (is that spelled correct?) - but just imo

grey bothers me.. I'd put more colors to that, otherwise it's great work.

oh, he looks more like Gandalf the White.. and then we could start arguing about palantir, 'cause Palantir of Orthanc was bigger than that and that thing it is in is different from Tolkien's description.. (Don't care about me, LotR's just the only thing I really know something about :p )

Good light and hands :)
The beard overflows a bit into the clothing, but maybe that's intentional?

The gray bugs me too but it looks like you used neutral or colorless gray. Don't do that it takes all the colordepth out of your drawing. Gray is always a little saturated in real photoshop saturation 0% gray doesn't exist irl ;)

Very nice. I like the limited colour pallette you used and the dynamic look you achieved with your brushstrokes.

Thanks everybody for your comments... :)
I should have coloured my grey a bit. A more cold grey, to contrast with the red light... Thanks for your criticisms about that. :p

I like the grey - it seems to fit with the idea that Saruman lost both his white and his many-coloured identities. This image shows that the palantir is more alive than the wizard using it.

It's great! Lol, I know comments like this aren't much help, but 'wow' just means I think everything is right in the painting, nothing to criticise.

i like the dynamics of this piece as well as the colours chosen... but the grey on his hand and face bothers me! it's either too dark or something(i know you can't make it lighter cause of his robe).... i really believe it would be better with skin colour(maybe with grey tints in to to make the greys in the image work together?)...
btw! great composition with his on the side that that!
